Bryan College of Health Sciences has created a three-year strategic plan for years 2025-2028, enforcing our mission, vision, core values and key areas for growth and development. Below is a summary of the overall goals, objectives, strategy and tactics.

Goal: Lifecycle Enrollment

Objectives

  • Increase credits sold from 7559 (FA24) to 8250 (FA28; 1.2% annual growth)

  • Grow degree-seeking enrollment from 701 (FA24) to 750 (FA28; 7% total growth in 4 years; focus on additions in Hastings, Accelerated BSN and new BSN curriculum growth)

Strategy

Implement a comprehensive recruitment and retention strategy that supports students from middle school through college graduation, ensuring sustained academic engagement and success

  • Focus on rural outreach and recruitment

Goal: Comprehensive Support

Objectives

  • Increase Ruffalo Noel Levitz student satisfaction question “Students are made to feel welcome here” from 6.04 (2023) to 6.19 (2027)

  • Increase Employee Engagement question “I feel like I belong in this organization” from 4.30 (2024) to 4.45 (2028)

Establish a supportive environment that ensures equitable access to resources for all students and employees, fostering their academic, professional and personal
success

Tactics

  • Combine East and West Lincoln campuses

  • Investigate what belonging means by integrating voices of students and employees

  • Foster relationships among students, among employees, and between students and employees

Goal: Workforce Development

Objectives

  • Achieve 70% hire rate of new BSN graduates into the Bryan Health system

  • Increase access to career services for graduate and undergraduate students

  • Increase Employee Engagement question “I would stay with this organization if offered a similar position elsewhere” from 4.01 (2024) to 4.16 (2028)

Strategy

Develop and execute professional development programs for students and employees that enhance their skills and careers, positioning Bryan Health as the employer of choice

Tactics

  • Engage Bryan Medical Center senior leaders early and often

  • Establish career services that integrate with Bryan Health HR department

  • Expand professional development opportunities to include students and employees

  • Prepare employees for diverse community needs

Goal: Alumni Connection

Objectives

  • Create opportunities for alumni to engage with BCHS

Strategy

Design and deliver unique programming that engages alumni across multiple generations, fostering lasting connections and ongoing involvement with BCHS

Tactics

  • Create BCHS Alumni Association

  • Engage alumni at campus events to promote networking

  • Honor alumni at graduation with annual award
