RN to BSN Admission Information

In seeking effective Registered Nurses who are committed to gaining a breadth of knowledge both within and outside of their chosen field, the School of Nursing requires that prospective students entering the RN to BSN Completion Option meet the following admissions criteria.

Admission Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited diploma or associate degree from an accredited nursing program
  • Possession of an active, unrestricted Nebraska RN license or in a Compact State
  • Two professional references using this form

Prospective RN to BSN Completion Option students are also expected to meet the following basic technical competencies:

  • Utilize perceptual skills when providing care and services for clients in all types of settings
  • Safely use essential equipment when providing client care and services in all required settings
  • Move independently when providing care and services for clients
