Frequently Asked Questions
Before Acceptance
What opportunities are available for me to get involved on campus?
A: View involvement opportunities here
Where can I live near campus and how do I connect with other students who are looking for housing?
A: Check out our housing web page. We also have a private Facebook group you can join once you’ve committed to Bryan that helps current students network for roommates, purchase used textbooks, etc.
Do I need to have my own laptop/device?
A: We highly recommend that you have your own personal laptop to most efficiently conduct your school work. However, we do have a few personal laptops available for checkout at our library, as well as several desktop computers available for student use at the college.
*Keep in mind we sometimes see more issues with Chromebooks.
Does Bryan offer any Microsoft Office products?
A: No
What will it cost me to attend Bryan?
A: Please reference our Tuition and Fee Schedule to see our current rates. The tuition cost is based on a per-credit hour schedule.
Do I have to take any prerequisite courses before applying to Bryan?
A: At this time, none of the programs offered here require any prerequisites. Each program does have its own admission requirements, which you can view in more detail here.
Can I attend a community college or other institution to complete my general ed courses while also attending Bryan?
A: The short answer is no. Once you are enrolled in courses at Bryan and may be receiving financial aid here, you cannot also be enrolled at another institution. We have our curriculum plans designed such that students can get all their gen-eds done here in a cohesive way designed for those entering health care.
Do I have to complete my program of study in 4 years or can I go over that?
A: It will depend on the program you are in as well as the number of transfer credits you will have upon entry to the program. For example, if you don’t have many transfer credits coming in, your semesters may be very full, in which case it may be beneficial to consider extending your time here by a semester or two to ensure your success. However, keep in mind this may only be possible for certain programs and not for others.
If I have a lot of transfer credits already, does that mean I will graduate sooner?
A: Not necessarily. Having transfer credits can lighten your credit load each semester, but it may not lessen the amount of time that you take to earn your degree. This is largely because we have small class sizes, so we cannot guarantee advanced placement as there may not be extra spots available.
How do I know if certain credits of mine will transfer to Bryan?
A: Visit the transfer guide on our website.
I’m having technical issues with my application – what do I do?
A: Email Ryan Moore at ryan.moore@bryanhealthcollege.edu.
How do I know my application status?
A: You can log into your application portal anytime after you have applied to BCHS to view your applications status.
Do I have to submit a transcript from a school even if I didn’t earn a degree there?
A: Yes!
Where do I send my transcripts?
A: Any transcripts (high school or college) MUST come directly from the institution or through an online transcript service like Parchment, not from the student. Transcripts cannot be attached to your application. Have e-transcripts sent to admissions@bryanhealthcollege.edu.
Physical transcripts can be sent to:

After Acceptance
How do I upload my immunization forms?
A: Go to my-bryan.org/Immunization. Click Upload Documents.
How do I register for my classes?
A: You will register for your classes when you attend your registration day which is held before the start of each Fall Semester. If extenuating circumstances make you unable to attend registration day, our assistant registrar will meet with you individually to help set up your class schedule.
Do I need to take the CNA class even if I’m a Sonography student?
A: Yes. This is a required class because it contains critical information about basic patient care skills and interpersonal skills which ALL health care professionals are expected to know.
I’m having issues with Canvas, who do I contact?
A: You must be logged in to your Canvas account, then on the left side at the bottom, click Help and it will take you to several resources.
I’m having trouble logging in to Canvas – what do I do?
A: First make sure you are using the correct Canvas login credentials. Your username should be your college email address (usually firstname.lastname@bryanhealthcollege.edu) and your initial password is your student ID number. You can change this password after you log in the first time. If you still have issues, you can contact 24/7 Canvas Support at 844-334-0159.
How do I log in on one of the college computers?
A: Use your college network login credentials. These credentials are provided to you in an email sent by IT Security. The email typically arrives a few weeks before classes start.
When do I apply for Financial Aid?
A: Our FAFSA priority filing date is March 1. We suggest completing the second step, FAFSA Awarding and Verification Portal, after you register for classes.
How can I apply for Bryan Foundation scholarships?
A: There is a general scholarship application available for Bryan College of Health Sciences students. Students may apply each March.
