Alumni Advisory Board
The Alumni Advisory Board supports the mission, vision and core values of Bryan College of Health Sciences. The Advisory Board provides advice and ideas to the alumni engagement committee and helps keep alumni connected to the college. Advisory Board members also act as advocates for the College in their communities.
The Alumni Advisory Board has two main goals:
- Solicit and select annual alumni awardees
- Share input for alumni event planning and engagement
The Alumni Engagement Committee includes the College President, Vice President of Enrollment & Marketing, Recruitment & Transfer Coordinator and Executive Assistant. These individuals also serve on the Advisory Board.
Advisory Board Membership
Anyone who received a diploma or degree from Bryan College of Health Sciences or any of its predecessor organizations is a lifetime member of the alumni and can serve on the Advisory Board. Members are expected to engage in all the following: alumni events, service and charitable giving to BCHS. It is understood that early career alumni may not yet be in a financial position for charitable giving.
The Advisory Board includes alumni from each school:
- Undergraduate Nursing (4)
- Healthcare Studies (2)
- Graduate & Health Professions (2)
- Nurse Anesthesia (2)
Advisory Board members are recruited by the College President and selected on a volunteer basis. Alumni may serve for a two-year term, with the option to renew for up to three consecutive terms (a total of six years). After completing six years of service, members must take a one-year break before being eligible for reappointment. Service on the Advisory Board is voluntary and not compensated.
Meetings
The Advisory Board will meet quarterly. Members should make every attempt to attend all scheduled meetings of the Advisory Board. The President will conduct all meetings.
