Important COVID-19 Notice

Everyone recognizes that the Bryan College of Health Sciences will be operating, for the foreseeable future, under unusual circumstances due the COVID-19 pandemic. We are committed to reducing your risk of catching the COVID-19 virus by establishing policies and procedures that follow local, state and federal requirements and guidelines, as well as those established by Bryan Medical Center to not only address COVID-19, but all communicable diseases. Despite our best efforts, the College cannot guarantee that its staff and students will not contract COVID-19 and each employee and student assumes such risk when participating in any employment, educational or social activity. All employees and students are required to follow established hygiene and other established practices intended to reduce the spread of COVID-19. The College will periodically keep employees and students updated as to the current requirements. Should you show symptoms of COVID-19 or other communicable disease, please contact employee/student health immediately. You should also self-quarantine until you can be evaluated by a healthcare professional. We also encourage employees and students to report any questions and concerns they have related to the College’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Your adherence to established procedures is key to fostering a safe place to work and learn.

Hello Healers,

Our continued success requires all of us to mask-up, wash hands, appropriately distance, and care for each other and ourselves.

  1. 1.       Reporting a PENDING COVID-19 TEST.  I am sure all of us can recite the temperature screening questions by now, and I would like to call your attention to, "Have you had a positive COVID test or have a pending COVID test?"  At BCHS, we collect information on ALL POSITIVE AND PENDING COVID testing, including routine testing through your place of employment. If you have a pending COVID test, and it has not been issued through the College, please contact student health

  2. 2.       Hours:  College entrance screening hours are now 7:30-5.
  3. 3.       Flu Shots:  It’s time for flu shots.  Be sure to check the flu shot schedule and get yours as soon as possible.  Remember, deadline is October 31st.
  4. 4.       Self-Monitoring: Checking temperature twice daily via thermometer or self- assessment and vigilant assessment for symptoms.
  5. 5.       Self-Isolating: Restricting self to one room in living quarters to distance self from others living within the same household
  6. 6.       Quarantine: Staying home and separating self from others to minimize risk of exposure and prevent the spread of the COVD-19 disease
